The Land Cruiser TX is the top choice for gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The road from Kampala to Bwindi includes long stretches of steep, rough murram track that demand a high-clearance 4WD vehicle — especially in wet season. The Toyota Rav4 handles Bwindi as well if you're on a budget. Both are available self-drive or with a driver.
Fuel is generally excluded from all rental rates. Vehicles are handed over with a full tank and must be returned full. We provide fuel-stop guidance along your route. If you prefer, we can quote a fuel-inclusive rate for certain routes. Driver daily allowance and accommodation costs for chauffeured rentals are also quoted separately and upfront — no surprises.

Absolutely — our rooftop tent Land Cruiser camping package is perfect for Kidepo Valley, which is Uganda's most remote national park and where camping inside the park is highly recommended. The vehicle includes tent, sleeping bags, cooker, cooler box, and all camp equipment. The drive to Kidepo is long and rough — making the Land Cruiser TX the only suitable vehicle.
Drivers must be at least 23 years old with a valid driving licence and a minimum of 2 years' driving experience. Foreign nationals require an International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside their home country licence. East African residents can use their local licence. We verify all documents before vehicle handover.
For peak season travel (June–August and December–January) we recommend booking 3–4 weeks in advance — especially for our rooftop tent Land Cruisers and extended pop-top vehicles, which are in very high demand.
