Do I need an international driving permit to rent a car in Uganda?
Yes — foreign nationals driving in Uganda require a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside their home country licence. East African residents can use their local licence. We verify all documents before handing over keys.
What is the minimum age to rent a car in Uganda?
Drivers must be at least 23 years old and hold a valid licence with a minimum of 2 years' driving experience. Young drivers aged 23–25 may be subject to a daily young driver surcharge.
Can I rent a car in Uganda and drive to Rwanda or Kenya?

Is fuel included in the car rental price?
Fuel is generally excluded from rental rates unless stated otherwise. We provide vehicles with a full tank — you return it full. Daily driver allowances and fuel costs can be bundled into a chauffeur package on request.
What types of roads are in Uganda national parks?
National park roads in Uganda are predominantly unpaved murram tracks. A 4×4 vehicle with high ground clearance is essential, especially during the rainy season (March–May and October–November). All our safari vehicles are 4WD-capable.
Do you offer Entebbe Airport car pickup and drop-off?

How far in advance should I book a car rental in Uganda?
For peak season (June–August and December–January) and gorilla trekking periods, we recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance. Outside peak season, 1 week's notice is usually sufficient for most vehicles.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
